The KAMERATA KYIV Ensemble of Soloists of Ukraine has started its successful performance in 1977 as Ensemble of Chamber Music at the Union of Ukrainian Composers. Since 1993 it became the State Ensemble. According to the tradition this collective is headed by outstanding Ukrainian composers. In different periods Ensemble was headed by Ye.Stankovich, M.Skoryk and I.Karabyts. Valeriy Matiukhin, an Honoured Art Worker of Ukraine, is permanent director –producer and conductor of the Ensemble.
   The main characteristic of the Ensemble is its specific mobility – musicians have performances in various musical casts: from soloists duet to small symphony orchestra. Music of all styles have been included in their repertoire: A.Vivaldi, M.Ravel, I.Stravinsky, R.Schedrin, J.S.Bach, A.Schoenberg, A.Schnittke, R.Shchedrin, G.Crumb, G.Ph.Telemann.
   KAMERATA KYIV had active performance tour within Ukraine as well as abroad (France, Germany, Croatia, Austria, Greece). In 1998 Ensemble had concert tour in the USA for the first time. KAMERATA KYIV is active participant of International festivals, such as ”Music-Fest” (Kyiv), “Two Days and Two Nights of New Music”(Odessa) and “Contrasts”( Lviv) etc.
   The Ensemble belongs to a very limited number of Ukrainian ensembles specializing in contemporary music.
